Profile

I have spent twenty years turning ideas into shipped solutions, software and hardware alike. Most of that career happened at Vectorform, a little tech innovation company in metro Detroit. I joined early and became its first iOS engineer, starting the mobile practice, and over the years grew into one of its leading voices as it scaled into the business NTT Data acquired. I came across in that acquisition as an acquihire, into the role I hold today. Now I lead a cross-disciplinary team of hardware, web, Unity, and art talent, and I run Protomota, where I build and operate AI products of my own alongside 3D modeling, printing, and building and training robots.

Selected highlights

01Product Owner under the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework for a strategic enterprise mobile app built over several years by a total team of more than 40.
02Built the end-to-end scoping and estimation process adopted company-wide at Vectorform, eliminating all project overruns and contributing to substantial increases in profit.
03Led robotics R&D on NVIDIA Omniverse: trained robots in Isaac Lab, ran them in Isaac Sim, and controlled Jetson-based hardware with ROS 2.
04Founded Vectorform's mobile app development practice in 2007 as its first iOS developer; mobile went on to become the company's main source of revenue.
05Tech Lead on the DTE Energy Insight app and its real-time IoT energy meter, taking it from concept through FCC approval to a spin-off into its own company, Powerley.
06Managed a portfolio of 7 automotive brand apps for Stellantis — Mopar, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Fiat — and led the front-end team behind Chevrolet's digital presence.
07Modernized QA with UI automation testing and expanded multi-environment coverage, holding a low QA-to-dev ratio as automation replaced manual testing.
08Rebuilt developer processes around TDD and CI/CD pipelines that run automated testing end to end, from commit through build to distribution across mobile and web.
09Ran advanced mobile security assessments — penetration testing, reverse engineering, and vulnerability analysis — and reported prioritized fixes back to client teams.

Experience

2023 — now
Launch by NTT Data
Digital Solution Consultant, Associate Director
Tech Lead, Automation & Design Configuration Tool
Jan 2026 — Present
  • Tech lead across a multi-disciplinary team of hardware engineers, web developers, Unity developers, and artists, keeping one product coherent across very different crafts.
  • Directed the architecture end to end: a node-style web interface where configurations are authored, and the pipeline that pushes them out to every client that renders them.
  • Shipped those clients as Unity applications on VR, mobile, and desktop, each carrying its own hardware integrations and its own definition of done.
  • Introduced spec-driven development to the team, carrying over the generative AI practices proven during the Omniverse research work.
Tech Lead, NVIDIA Omniverse Research & Development
Feb 2025 — Jan 2026
  • Trained robots in Isaac Lab and set them loose in Isaac Sim environments, using virtual sensors throughout.
  • Built and programmed custom robots on NVIDIA Jetson Nano boards, created their virtual twins in Isaac Sim, trained them there, and controlled them with ROS 2.
  • Applied generative AI across the research workflow and established the spec-driven development practices now used on my current project.
Product Owner
Oct 2023 — Feb 2025
  • Product Owner for a multi-year enterprise mobile application (iOS/Android) at a top U.S. manufacturing company.
  • Owned and prioritized the backlog in Azure DevOps, defining epics, features, and stories for a cross-functional team of 20+ developers and designers.
  • Primary liaison between engineering and stakeholders; helped define and scope a project extension that secured continued investment.
2007 — 2023
Vectorform
Director of Scoping & Estimation
Nov 2019 — Oct 2023
  • Built a standardized, end-to-end scoping and estimation process that eliminated chronic overruns and drove profitability.
  • Added proactive risk assessment to catch challenges early and improve budget adherence.
  • Trained sales, product, technology, and design teams on the methodology to make adoption company-wide.
Director of Quality Experience & Business Analysis
Sep 2017 — Oct 2023
  • Led the QA and business analysis teams within the Vectorform Engineering Group, owning staffing, practice, and day-to-day direction.
  • Moved QA from fully manual testing to UI automation testing with Playwright and other tools, and expanded multi-environment coverage.
  • Served as JIRA administrator for the company, developing all of the baseline workflows the organization ran on and owning their rollout, along with test case management.
Tech Lead, Mobile Application Engineer
Nov 2012 — Nov 2019
  • Managed a portfolio of 7 automotive brand apps for Stellantis (formerly FCA): Mopar, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Fiat.
  • Led mobile development for the DTE Energy Meter app from concept to launch, including real-time hardware integration and FCC approval, and provided the technical and product expertise behind its spin-off into Powerley.
  • Managed a suite of 14 individual Taubman mall's shopping and navigation apps and setup complex CI/CD pipelines to optimize development and distribution.
Senior iOS Engineer
Sep 2007 — Sep 2010
  • Founded Vectorform's mobile application development department as its first iOS developer, at SDK release.
  • Shipped high-profile iOS apps including The Coca-Cola Company's Sprite Mixer, several earning App Store “Featured App” placement.
